Sect and Clan

  • Judicial Conclave I (Sect is equal to Camarilla and Status is ≥ 2): There have been a lot of serious repercussions form the recent Judicial Conclave. Everyone is just upset in general.

  • Judicial Conclave II (Sect is equal to Camarilla and Status is ≥ 4): Paschek came out of the tribunal looking pretty bad. Prince Lafeyette is pissed as hell that the tribunal went the way it did. The whole thing was meant to prevent rioting and idiocy, not encourage it. Brujah discontent is spreading, both in favor of Petrov and in opposition to those who favor Petrov.

Other

  • Note From Aziem (Personal for Marcus Giovanni): Letter from Aziem [Accompanying the letter is a gun - talk to an ST for details]:

Officer Giovanni of the New York Police Department,

I received your letter, and I do well understand you need and concerns. I present you with this gift, recognition of your continued vigilance in assisting the Children of Seth and protecting them- from the depraved of their kind as an officer of the law, and from ours and a kind and humane protector. As a judge of the children of Caine, I give this to you that it might be a tool in your continued efforts. Use it well and go with the blessings of Haqim and his children.

    In Peace,
    Aziem ibn Ulmar"

  • Note From Aziem (Personal for Pisces): Letter to Pisces from Aziem [Accompanying the letter are two firearms - talk to an ST for details (Mossburg and the Bersa), and a bill for the cost of the two firearms]:

    "Piscina,

As you requested, with this letter you will find a pair of weapons that should suit you. I would impress upon you that these are highly illegal within New York City; however I recognize your need for them. I have enclosed a bill for them, however if you are unable to meet the price immediately, you may pay me back as you can- you have my word that I will not attempt to use this as a way to extract favors or boons from you.

    Your Friend,
    Aziem ibn Ulmar"

  • Dream Before Waking (Personal for Arthur Clarke): Tragedy in Three Acts

Bureaucracy

  • Bureaucracy x1: There is a strong sentiment that Lucasta = bad. Not only should Lucastites be given no breaks, but you should, in fact, throw out roadblocks.

Almost all permits for any kind of public gathering or performance are begin denied for next week. Only those going to very well-behaved groups or groups holding small daytime events are being granted. People don't want another incident...

  • Bureaucracy x2: Someone is encourage the various city services to ... encourage business to choose to relocate out of Willets Point, Queens, so that redevelopment can proceed.

  • Bureaucracy x4: Someone has been attempting to curry favor recently...

Church

  • Church x1: "While Lucasta occasionally seemed to have the right idea (protect the weak, stand up for what is right), he went about it the wrong way. Vigilantism does not work! Inevitably, innocents get hurt. And did, in all this Lucastas nonsense. Despite their occasional flaws, you should stick with your traditional faiths..."

The dogwood tree is still dead. People are quite upset about this.

  • Church x2: A nice, long, and suitably dense explanation has been issued for the dogwood tree. No one reads it, or cares. The Pope killed the dogwood tree!

There is something of a niche market for ashes from the dogwood tree. Given the quantity of ashes being sold, they can't all be genuine.

Finance

  • Finance x2: Several banks have begun to quietly reintroduce the same types of loan packages that caused the recent mortgage issues... under new names and designations, of course.

  • Finance x3: Crap! The Times just picked up on the old 'pick up rent-controlled apartments and harass the tenants into leaving so we can raise rents' scheme. Back to the drawing board.

  • Finance x4: Quiet SEC investigations continue...

  • Finance x6: There is some kind of really big, really sketchy operation being set up.

Health

  • Health x1: That Ash Gently guy - the one who saved that kid - he's over at Bellvue, still non-responsive and in a coma.

  • Health x3: That Gently guy - his readings are really, really fucked up. I mean, yeah, he got hit by a huge beam, but that's not it. I mean, this is super weird.

High Society

  • High Society x1: A scattered group of celebrities have spoken out in support of Lucasta's ideals and intentions after the bad press from the stabbings. Others spoke out against it. In favor: Flava-flav, Bono. Opposed: John Travolta, Paris Hilton.

Industry

  • Industry x1: The fucking city is trying to push people out of Willets Point, Queens, so some big rich developer can have the area.

  • Industry x2: Rising gas prices have led some people to once again try to convince the state to allow a liquified natural gas facility to be built in-state - preferably near the Greater NYC area. Talks are still under way.

  • Industry x4: People working with Rev. Al Sharpton have approached some area unions to request support in solidarity with protestors against the Bell case. The price is still being discussed.

  • Industry x5: There is some kind of really big, really sketchy operation being set up.

Legal

  • Legal x1: It seems like the majority of the 'leaders' of various Lucasta groups have been picked up for one reason or another. This damn bookstore owner is going to be untouchable, however. Damn ACLU and their damn lawsuits...

Well, Sharpton got himself arrested in another damn 'protest.' To bad he can't 'fall' in his cell. Damn lawyers.

  • Legal x3: The ACLU is poking its nose into too many places with regard to this silly lawsuit of theirs... damned fanatics chasing media attention.

  • Legal x4: The SEC has quietly begun to investigate possible instances of insider trading at several major investment banks.

  • Legal x5: That Truth in Words company has been building up its legal department lately.

Media

  • Media x1: Lucasta! Two scrawny, pasty fanatics from different branches of the Lucasta cult appeared on Jerry Springer. They got into a shouting match over whether or not the May 11, 2007 Lucasta sighting was 'real.'

A scattered group of celebrities have spoken out in support of Lucasta's ideals and intentions after the bad press from the stabbings. Others spoke out against it. In favor: Flava-flav, Bono. Opposed: John Travolta, Paris Hilton.

There has been definite pressure to report on Lucasta-related incidents in a negative light.

    RACE RIOT STRIKES NEW YORK!!!

Some of the leftward-leaning media personalities are starting to change their tunes about Lucasta and his supporters. They're talking about how misunderstood they all are, and how they have good intentions, and shouldn't be penalized because the system let them down...

  • Media x2: There is talk of some guy - a McClin - in Staten Island who has been giving 'tips' to the cops - except those tips aren't always correct. Some are - enough that he can also get away with slipping names of personal enemies. We still need to double-check this, however.

  • Media x4: New York Times editors are desperately trying to convince the publisher to back off of the pro-Hillary stance... without success, so far.

  • Media x5: Wright continues his plans for FIONA.

The McClin information is coming form *ahem* questionable sources.

Occult

  • Occult x1: Lucasta!

Keep your head DOWN these couple weeks. The fuzz is looking for an excuse to bust us over something, anything as the Lucasta anniversary comes up.

There is something of a niche market for ashes from the dogwood tree. Given the quantity of ashes being sold, they can't all be genuine.

  • Occult x2: The Scientologists have something against Lucasta.

The Shepherds of the Something Flower have been aggressively responding to the unfair and unjust accusations that have been leveled against them through innuendo and rumor-mongering. They are a fine, upstanding study group that doesn't engage in civil disobedience, acts of terrorism, ritual suicide or any of the other nonsense that the supposedly 'good' groups carry on with. So shut the hell up about them. This hasn't stopped the trash-talking. The Society of the Unbroken Mind is in a state of panic. One of their second-tier leaders had his store trashed and it looks like someone wants to kill him. The group is frantically regrouping and trying to avoid official scrutiny.

  • Occult x3: Shepherds of the Bitter Flower. Word is that they're involved in some scary shit. Really bad juju.

The Heralds of the Lightbringer should be able to recover. Its not clear if the Society of the Age of the Lightbringer will be able to.

Police

  • Police x1: The cops have their hands full right now, in part because some officers were pulled from the streets last week to give them down-time to allow extra patrols leading up to the 11th. There won't be any more Lucasta shit this week!

Goddamned 'black leaders' stirring people up to riot. Look at me. I'm black. I don't like the Bell trial outcomes, but I understand what it's like for those guys out on the streets. I don't see how a riot is the answer.

  • Police x2: The Neighborhood Watch has gotten a reprieve. Two weeks ago, it looked dead. Now that people are scared again, it might pull through. For a little while.

  • Police x3: Commissioner Kelley is not pleased with the amount of political pressure being brought to bear on the department over the reorganization.

The Ramsey investigation has been put on the back burner because of all this Lucasta shit.

The Watch's main leadership knows that it's been infiltrated by all manner of bad sorts, and is slowly working to purge them.

  • Police x4: Several higher-ups at the department are a bit miffed at the FBI, although its not clear why.

There is a small but rabid group of people who are convinced that the death of Kenny G was a conspiracy by The Powers that Be. They feel very strongly about this. Stupid 'truthers' of all types.

Politics

  • Politics x1: In the wake of the recent stabbings, the Watch has gotten a bit more popular. The City Council and Mayor's Office have backed down a bit on the issue, but are still putting pressure on the NYPD to clean things up.

Lucasta is not well-liked. There will be no nonsense this year.

  • Politics x2: There is a subdued frenzy among state and local politicians as the effects of the recent primaries is felt. There is all manner of influence being waved about trying to sway people one way or the other.

  • Politics x3: Controls! Controls! Now that they're scared, the sheep will accept more controls! Without serial killers and fear, where would progressive government get the authority to do what must be done?

  • Politics x4: The FBI hasn't been making many friends recently. Bitching about is becoming one of the top hobbies among some political circles...

Someon has been cultivating political contacts by sucking up to Paterson...

  • Politics x5: One division in particular has taken a lot of heat. Seems some representative has been making himself not well liked. Name is Connie? Charles? Something like that.

  • Politics x6: The division is SAD. Name is Conrad Desmond.

Street

  • Street x1: The recent stabbing spree made people a bit more willing to tolerate shit from the Watch.

All the recent anti-Lucasta shit ain't going over well in poor neighborhoods. They remember that Lucasta looked out for them when the suits didn't. Now, the suits still don't care, and are trashing Lucasta 'cause he did.

  • Street x3: The Watch leadership is taking advantage of the reprieve to try to clean house a bit.

  • Street x4: Some serious shit just went down with the Orphans. Like, 10 minute ago. This is big shit, man!

  • Street x5: Someone has been making new friends among area gangs...

Transportation

  • Transportation x1: Well, the attempts to get cabbies and bus drivers to report suspicious activity are no longer hitting resistance... nor are efforts to put tracking devices in cabs. That killing spooked people.

The West Side Rail Yard development project has been stalled...

  • Transportation x2: The MTA was getting a bit put off by the rail yard's developer's frequently changing demands which would have seriously decreased the value of the deal to the MTA.

  • Transportation x3: There has been a nation-wide spike in traffic fatalities over the past week. It seems a lot of stop signs are going missing...

And what's worse, those changes in the rail yard deal were suggested with only payoffs to the State government! If they aren't going to cut in the MTA, well, we're just not having any of that!

  • Transportation x6: We sold another one of those insane security vehicles the other week. You know, something one of those paranoid nutcases wants with the bulletproof and lightproof everything.

Underworld

  • Underworld x1: Things are still relatively quiet. The syndicates are rebuilding, regrouping, reorganizing...

  • Underworld x2: There is a strong push among the Russians, the Italians and the Puerto Ricans to figure out just who was leaking information regarding the Staten Island situation.

  • Underworld x3:The Russians, Mafia and TCH's old boys are jointly offering a bounty on some jackass McClin. $100,000.

University

  • University x1: Did you see this awesome YouTube video - its of this guy who stands in the fire for like 10 minutes and then just disappears. Clearly a fake, but cool nonetheless!

Lucasta is cool! The cops are all tools! Its gonna be his anniversary! And the Devil's Thursday anniversary! Lets throw a party and get hammered!

  • University x2: University administrators are very concerned about people trying to somehow reenact or commemorate Devil's Thursday...

  • University x3: There is a small but rabid group of people, including some students, who are convinced that the deaht of Kenny G was a conspiracy by The Powers that Be. They feel very strongly about this.

Someone is using the time-honored combination of backstabbing and a friendly face to build up a network of contacts and influence in area universities.
