BUREAUCRACY x4:

Bureaucracy - 4: Watch

In the days/weeks following Halloween I am going to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, especially if it might relate to Sabbat activity.

Influence Response:

The oldest building in all of New York City, the Wyckoff house mysteriously burnt down several weeks ago and is being investigated for arson! The Brooklyn Park Society is in arms about it and several of the not for profit groups that funded the building's maintainable are upset. People are already looking into getting grants to rebuild a replica of parts of the property to preserve the historic heritage that has been lost.

Other than that, donations to NPOs are going up, as are utility disconnections and hunting licenses with the Winter season. Nothing really Sabbat-esque stands out with the exception of the now defunct Wyckoff House.

ST Notes: Either Alan Scott or Danny/Cassandra burnt down the Wycoff House. It is up to the ST who ran the scene to determine who got to it first.

FINANCE x2:

Finance - 2: Watch

In the days/weeks following Halloween I am going to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, especially if it might relate to Sabbat activity.

Influence Response:

You are told by your contacts that the economy continues to make them sad, and that they aren't expecting a recovery for a while, but that there's is nothing outright fishy about the current recession that has only appeared in the past month. You hear that apparently video game retailers have been doing well in the past quarter, that AOL is about to fire a third of its workforce, and that Ken from accounting is the nerdiest CPA anyone has ever met... man practically masturbates while reading the updated GAAP.

The accounting team of the Sword of Caine seems to be pretty inactive (or at least it is as far as you can tell with Lore: Sabbat x0).

ST Notes: AOL and Gamestop actually are having profits/firings as reported. There are no Sabbat doing anything to help them.

HEALTH x4:

Health - 4: Watch

In the days/weeks following Halloween I am going to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, especially if it might relate to Sabbat activity.

Influence Response:

Things are a little hectic all over in the health industry. There are a lot of blood drives going on all over, owing to the increase in accidents during the holiday season and the usual shortage of blood in the city. There's apparently a bit of a kerfuffle over some of the blood to not be used for donation going missing at a Red Cross in Brooklyn, but it's a matter of ten units or so. Nothing huge.

There were also a few crazy accident cases during Halloween. A girl dressed up like a "sexy" police officer was apparently severely beaten after a college party and still doesn't remember her attackers. There was also a psych ward case who though he was an incarnation of St. Paul and went on for hours describing the mission he was on to stop the train-demons that were living in the New York subway. Other than that, it's been mostly the standard assortment of alcohol poisoning cases and car accidents.

ST Notes: Nothing has anything to do with the Sabbat. The blood was lost due to bureaucratic error. The girl got into a fight with her ex-boyfriend and is too drunk to remember. St. Paul is just a lunatic.

LEGAL x3:

Legal - 3: Watch

In the days/weeks following Halloween I am going to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, especially if it might relate to Sabbat activity.

Influence Response:

Angela, hard at work, tells you that there's a kid out in Jersey whose trying to pull a whacked out defense case arguing that an case of embezzlement was due to mental defect due to gambling addiction, and that a lot of lobbyists are still riding hard on trying to keep eskola from going the way of salvia, but aside from that nothing really big is going on.

The legal team of the Sword of Caine seems to be pretty inactive (or at least it is as far as you can tell with Lore: Sabbat x0).

MEDIA x43:

Media - 4: Stealth

I am continuing my efforts to keep "unusual activity" out of the news cycle. If the story is too big to bury, then I want to make sure that there are very logical explanations for the strange occurrences.

Influence Response:

You are STEALTHed.

The burning of the Wyckoff House makes the papers with no discernible hint of supernatural activity. While you found one slick reporter who apparently has a police lead that there was evidence of a struggle at the historical building before the blaze, you tell him to keep it quiet. That sort of thing can't be substantiated yet.

Much to your surprise, you find out that one of the major stories hitting most papers is the presumed deaths of one Cassandra Goodchild-Samuel, assistant editor at the Daily Dirge, and her driver Danny J. Simons. Apparently, both have not been seen for nearly a month, and on the night of November 6th, what appeared to be a 2006 Mercedes-Benz, matching the description of one commonly driven by Simons, crashed off of the Verrazano-Narrows bridge. Neither the car nor the bodies have yet been recovered.

Nothing supernatural stands out in the latter story. Ages listed seem to appropriately match the appearances of each individual, and there is no hint of anything out of the ordinary aside from the accident itself.

ST Notes: Danssandra is responsible for the car crash. Alan Scott or Danssandra is responsible for the fire.
