STREET x4:

Green Wolf will be working with his extensive network within Brooklyn to learn all he can about Escola (I think that's the name, it's the drug mentioned in the Dirge). In particular, he's trying to locate as many of the dealers as possible.

In addition, he's going to spread the word to avoid that stuff, pointing out to the folks he's worked with (e.g. Walter the veteran) that this stuff is killing lots of people.

Influence Response:

Eskola showed up sometime last spring. There was quite a large shipment that was transferred to the Asian mob, and then the Asian mob divided it up amongst all the other mobs, and the mobs then sold to the dealers or the gangs. Eskola is a pretty serious drug - while it's said to give you the highest of highs off of tiny amounts, you want to be careful not to overdose. Apparently someone started bleeding out of his orifices and killed five people before he died.

Rounding up the dealers is no easy task. You're able to find quite a few of them - six or so, operating in your neck of the woods. You also spread the word to have your people avoid the stuff like the plague.

PERSONAL ACTION:

In Green Wolf's continuing efforts in the Camarilla War On Drugs, he'll be trying to learn as much as he can about escola's (sp?) effects on the human body. This effort will consist of:

1. Reading anything he can find on the subject in the public libraries.

2. Observing those people on the street that appear to be under its effect, and taking what notes he can (taking advantage of his medical skills).

3. If there are charitable groups, police, etc engaging in public education efforts, read any info they give out, ideally talk to those giving it out to see what they know, and volunteer to help spread the word among the homeless population.

He will combine his research with anything Zack/Red Deer comes up with. If time allows, he will start looking into whether he can develop an herbal concoction that might counteract its more dangerous effects or reduce the physical craving for it.

INFLUENCE ABILITY:

Influence Response:

There is woefully little information regarding eskola. Most people agree that the original shipment arrived sometime mid-Spring. It seems like there was a second shipment that got confiscated by the police in the middle of a drug raid for something else. There are also a bunch of sensationalist tabloids regarding eskola (it burns your blood, it causes your heart to explode, it's made of larvae) which have some factual basis in truth, as you know that there have been some selected instances of overdose - but unfortunately not enough details.

From the few samples you've been able to see, people under the influence of eskola generally seem happier and more energetic. Some of them become a bit more

agitated and paranoid, and huddle in street corners shaking. You have been unable to see an overdose situation.

You help out with getting the word out as much as possible, in the meantime.

PERSONAL ACTION:

Green Wolf will attempt to develop an herbal counter-agent to eskola. Since it appears to be a stimulant of some kind, he will attempt to counter it with easily available herbal sedatives such as camomile, St Johns Wort and lavender. Specifically, he's going to try to make it into a tea and give it to someone he finds in the "jittery sitting in the corner" state, to see if that helps.

Influence Response:

You make a passable tea out of chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm that you manage to steal from various rooftop gardens. Appears that tea worthy St. John's Wort and Valerian isn't so readily accessible in NYC.

Traveling around with your thermos full 'o tea (which you purchased just for this for $15 from the local WalMart) you find a young teenage girl. She jumps away from you, as you are a creepy man, in the middle of the night, but as you are CHARISMATIC and PERSUASIVE she eventually allows you to give her tea. Holding the warm mug cupped in her hands, she thanks you profusely, telling you "God bless you. It's good to know that at least there are some people out there that are good."

Eventually, after talking to her for a bit, you realize that she wasn't jumpy because of drugs, but because she was on the run. From who, she won't say, but you notice some bruises along her arms. It's too late to look for more, by the time your time with her ends.

STREET x4:

The efforts for the last couple of weeks continue. Green Wolf will continue to use his contacts to track down more of the eskola dealers, and make sure the message to stay away from that stuff is becoming common knowledge.

Influence Response:

You continue to talk down eskola to your contacts, and they continue to spread the word that eskola is terrible for you. Unfortunately, though, you can't quite stop everyone, as some continue to try eskola and discover that it's not that bad of a drug as your guys are making it out to be. Certainly no bleeding out of the eyes or anything.
