Epilogue - Part II: Helen Rogerson
November 11, 2007
The day after last night, you have a dream.
You wake up panicked and confused. Grasping in the space between sleep and wakefulness, you try to remember the details of what frightened you. Slowly, your senses return to you. You're in your own room, in your own home. Bentley is sleeping on the ground next to the bed. A rose sits in the ornamental vase on the end table on the other side of the bed. Next to it, Sam McCoy sleeps peacefully by your side. Reassured that it was just a bad dream, you drift back to sleep. You sleep soundly, knowing that everything is back to normal.
You wake up alone.
